About Us
We’re built for people who take their training seriously - but don’t take themselves too seriously.
We’re based out of Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, and from the start, our goal has been simple: create a space where athletes and everyday people can train properly. Not just access equipment, but feel supported, understood, and part of something.
Most of our members aren’t chasing aesthetics. They’re training for something - events, competitions, or just the satisfaction of getting better. That shapes everything we do. The layout, the equipment, the coaching, and the way we interact with people on the gym floor.
We’ve grown through word of mouth more than anything else. People tend to stay, bring their friends, and become part of the environment. That’s something we’re proud of.
Alongside training, we run workshops, support local athletes, and try to make the gym accessible to people who might not otherwise have the opportunity. We also work with groups like Moana House and support community initiatives where we can.
At our core, we aren’t trying to be everything to everyone. We’re a place to train well, be around good people, and win.
Our Culture
We care about people feeling acknowledged when they walk in. That means learning names, having conversations, and paying attention. It’s not forced - it’s just part of how we operate.
We take pride in the space. The gym is kept clean, organised, and running properly. Small things matter here, and everyone takes ownership of that.
We look for people who are easy to be around. No egos, no drama. Just people who do their job well, help where needed, and contribute to a positive environment on the floor.
There’s a level of independence to the role. You won’t be micromanaged, but you’re expected to take responsibility, solve problems, and keep things moving when something needs doing.
If there’s a common thread, it’s this: We do the basics well, are good to people, and take pride in our environment.

Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who’s reliable, easy to be around, and takes pride in doing the basics well.
You don’t need years of experience in a gym, but you do need to be comfortable talking to people. A big part of the role is interacting with members - welcoming them in, answering questions, and helping them feel at home.
You’re someone who notices things. If the gym needs tidying, you tidy it. If someone looks unsure, you check in. You don’t wait to be told what to do.
You’re also comfortable having conversations that lead to sales. Not pushy or scripted - but able to listen, understand what someone’s looking for, and help them make a decision.
We value people who are consistent. You show up on time, follow through on what you say you’ll do, and can be trusted to handle a shift without things slipping.
Just as importantly, you’re a good fit for the environment. No ego, no drama - just someone who contributes positively to the space and gets along well with both members and the team.
If you enjoy being on your feet, talking to people, and taking ownership of your work, you’ll do well here.
